BACKGROUND

Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) was established on the 22nd July 2013 as a private limited company offering a safe, reliable and affordable transportation service to the entire nation and sub-regional countries.
GTSC has one of the largest infrastructures in the country’s transportation industry with well-organized offices and support depots in Kanifing, Essau, Soma Basse, Brikama and Farafenni.

To operate a profitable transportation service through the use of modern buses and vessels that are environmentally-friendly, to ensure a reliable, safe and comfortable journey for our customers.
We intend to achieve our mission by:

  • Retaining a dedicated and motivated workforce that would guarantee excellent customer service.
  • Making sure the buses are very clean and well-maintained.
  • Providing a competitive and flexible tariff system.

We would contribute to road safety by partnering with stakeholders to promote defensive driving techniques and first aid procedures.

Our People

GTSC employs 250 staff, including 71 trained drivers.

Our Fleet

GTSC has a fleet of 53 Ashok Leyland buses, which includes 37 normal service buses, 8 express service and 8 school buses.
Our luxury coaches have a seating capacity of 44 and are equipped with air conditioners, comfortable seating with reclining seats and adequate leg room and audio and visual in-car entertainment.
The buses designated for express service are also air-conditioned and the remaining buses are equipped with fans to make all journeys comfortable.
All our buses are operated by well-trained professional drivers which has attributed to our unbeatable safety record, thus far. Safe and secure luggage compartments are also available.
